We all remember our first crush, right? Or maybe even the name of our first kindergarten boyfriend or girlfriend? Well, this little boy is starting early in his love life. As only a baby – not even at normal schooling age! – he has a girlfriend named Cali. And did we mention Cali is imaginary? If that’s not the cutest thing you’ve heard all day, I don’t know what to tell you. When this little boy’s mom gets a “call” from his “girlfriend,” you have to see his excited reaction! Watch the video below, it will make your heart melt.

Ah, young love. So excited, so hopeful.

When the video begins, the little boy’s mom his making a “ring, ring” noise while holding a small calculator up to her ear. Sounds weird, yes. But she’s trying to get her son excited that his girlfriend is “calling.” So, in that respect, nothing could be less weird than what she’s doing.

The mom answers the phone and as soon as she says hello to “Cali,” the little boy’s face lights up! He gets so excited so quickly, and then immediately bashful as his mom tries to hand him the phone/calculator.

She finally convinces him to say hi, and we hope you’re braced for all the cuteness coming your way, because he picks up the phone/calculator and gives it a little kiss! The little boy looks at his mom, excited and shocked, and goes, “Oh!” like the calculator completely took him off-guard.

His mom takes the phone back and explains to “Cali” that her son is in the shower and will have to call her back later. Very smooth. And as soon as she “hangs up,” he immediately hands her back the calculator, like he wants her to call “Cali” back!
