Watching little kids perform is one of the most joyous things you’ll ever see! There’s something about a little kid in the limelight; more often than not, they love it, and they just shine on stage. That couldn’t be more true of this little boy. When these two boys got on stage to perform an Easter hymn, I expected something cute to unfold, but I never expected it to be this amazingly adorable. While both boys are adorable, keep your eyes on the little toddler on the left.
Every year, Easter welcomes us into spring. For Christians, it is a time to remember the miracles of their faith. Needless to say, it’s an important time of year for people of that religion. For this year’s Easter celebration, this church decided to have a variety show of sorts, with different people singing religious songs and hymns. And when these little boys started their performance of Robert Lowry’s 1874 hymn titled “Low in the Grave He Lay,” we understand why everyone in the audience got excited.
Although the cute little boy on the left has some trouble getting started (he’s obviously nervous, he looks like a deer in the headlights) with a little help from mom on the piano, they take right off with time.
But he’s clearly lost steam. The little boy on the right takes over, although a lot more quietly than his friend on the left, while the superstar looks around, clearly tired. But when mom encourages him to sing into the mic with a little interjection, watch his priceless reaction. He passionately gets into the song! It’s like someone flips a switch!
Suddenly, he’s back on fire and positively belting the song out with everything he has. His eyes are huge, he’s gripping the mic with both hands, and he’s in it to win it.
While these boys might not hit every note perfectly, their presence on stage is absolutely priceless. They are truly trying their best – and, frankly, we’re really impressed these young kids remembered this whole song. They’ve mesmerized the whole thing, which is surprising in a great way.
We’re not the only one who thinks so, clearly.
Since the clip was uploaded in 2011, it has received more than 3.7 million views on YouTube alone. We hope these little boys look back one day at their first taste of stardom and feel proud! They have an amazing and adorable performance that the internet obviously loves.
