Kylie Jenner Responds to Outrage After Sharing Makeup Artist’s GoFundMe With Her Fans

Kylie Jenner is rich and famous. We can probably all agree about that. The controversy seems to be whether or not she’s a good person.

Recently, Jenner shared a GoFundMe link with her fans, and she has gotten a lot of criticism for it. The GoFundMe was set up for a makeup artist named Samuel Rauda who got into a car accident. The goal was to raise money for his medical bills.

The problem is that when many of Jenner’s fans clicked on the GoFundMe link, they saw the current goal set at $60,000. They also saw that Jenner had only donated $5000. While $5000 might be a lot of money for a normal person to donate, it seems like pocket change for a billionaire. Fans thought Jenner should’ve just covered the entire $60,000 goal herself.

Jenner decided to give her side of the story. In her Instagram stories, she explained that while she has worked with Rauda before, he is currently not her makeup artist. She works with another makeup artist named Ariel now. She found out about the GoFundMe through Ariel, and originally, the goal of the fundraiser was only $10,000.

According to Jenner, when she donated to the GoFundMe, they had already raised $6000. By donating $5000, she was more than covering the rest of the goal. Later the goal was raised, and that’s where the confusion comes in.

So, why did Jenner even share the fundraiser? She wrote, “Thought I’d post on my stories to gain more awareness if anyone also felt compelled to share or donate. I don’t know how all this got so twisted but his family has reached out through Ariel and are very appreciative of all the donations, prayers and love towards Sam.”

Currently, the GoFundMe goal is set at $120,000, and it has already raised over $100,000.

Do you think Jenner should’ve donated more money to help her former makeup artist? Do you think people are being overly critical of Jenner?
