Spring is finally in full swing. And while your gardens may be in bloom, you’re probably also noticing weeds creeping up in places where they shouldn’t be. Whether weeds are cramping your garden’s style or poking out from patio or walkway stones, you don’t have to deal with them for long. Just grab your secret weapon ingredient from the kitchen and toss it in a spray bottle. Have you guessed what the ingredient is?
It’s vinegar, of course! Just spray plain old white vinegar all over the weeds that are causing you grief on a warm, sunny and calm day. The acetic acid in the vinegar will burn the weeds on contact and also lower the pH of the soil, making it very difficult for weeds to come back. When One Good Thing by Jillee tried this on her weeds, her results were pretty extraordinary.
