There’s a Train in Mexico Called the ‘Jose Cuervo Express’ That Has All-You-Can-Drink Tequila

Everyone has *that* alcohol. You know, the one that you loved to drink in college, and the one that continued to be your go-to into your ‘adulting’ years–until one year you miiiiight have had just a bit too much of it at your office Christmas party. You know, that office Christmas party that lead to the biggest hangover of your life and the first and only apology for dancing on a copy machine that you have ever had to make. Yikes!

Now, we’re not sure what type liquor caused your one night of shame that made you swear off the stuff completely, but for us, it was tequila…and we know that we’re not the only ones. There’s something about the Mexican liquor that takes away our inhibitions while simultaneously making us feel like we’re Wonder Woman. It might sound like a winning combination, but not when you’re slurring your words and coming off as a drunken fool!

Suffice it to say, our tequila days have been over for quite some time now…but we just received word of something so cool, that we might need to dip back into the stuff just for this experience alone.

It’s called the ‘Jose Cuervo Express’ and it’s an all-you-can-drink tequila-themed train that winds you through the picturesque agave region, commencing in Guadalajara and ending in Tequila, Mexico, the home of the Jose Cuervo Family Reserve.

The experience seems to be one part cultural and one part party–a combination that is hard to argue against, if you ask us! Once you board the Jose Cuervo Express, you have the option to taste a host of the tequila-maker’s most famous and historic classes of the buzzy drink, all while on a luxury train that’s got this gorgeous, roaring ’20s feel.

Once you arrive at the Cuervo Family Estate, you will get the chance to tour Fábrica La Rojeña, one of the oldest tequila distilleries in the Americas. It’s been up and running for more than 250 years, so these guys know what they’re doing!

And, of course, there will be even more tequila for you to sample at every turn! It’s an experience that sounds like a truly unique one–especially if you pace yourself and make a beautiful, buzzy day of it.

Currently, Travel Pirates is selling tickets for the Jose Cuervo Express starting at $111. Not bad for a tequila train to remember.

Well, *hopefully* you’ll remember it…

We’d love to hear your thoughts on this tequila train! Is this something you would do? Have you done it before? If so, was it worth the cash (and hangover)?
