I’m ready to retire! Jimmy Buffett is opening a group of new Margaritaville-themed retirement communities in warm beachy locales. The tropical themed communities feature large resort-style pools, a band shell for live performances, and “it’s always 5 o’clock” bars to get your margarita fix on.
Homes in the Daytona Beach community start in the low $200,000’s and range from 1,500-2,500 sq ft. Homes are bright and cheerful, painted in whites and pastels.
Interiors are open and breezy and give a tropical, Key West feeling:
Planned locations so far include Hilton Head, SC, Daytona Beach, FL and Watersound, FL. Kissimmee, FL is rumored to be the next destination.
It’s great timing for a Margaritaville-themed retirement community as the song first came out in 1977 and many who group up with the song are now reaching prime retirement age.
