On New Year’s Day, actor Jeremy Renner was in a horrific snow plow accident where his leg got run over by a very heavy snow plow. He was hospitalized for two weeks and is now back home where he is continuing the path to recovery.

Several of Renner’s “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” co-stars have visited him since the accident, and they were pleasantly surprised at his recovery so far.

When actress Evangeline Lilly visited Renner at his home, she expected him to be confined to his bed and suffering in pain. That’s not at all what she found.

When Lilly arrived at Renner’s home, she found him in good spirits and wheeling himself around his home in a wheelchair. She told Access, “He was wheeling himself around, laughing with his friends. It’s a miracle, a straight-up miracle.”

She was so surprised at what she saw that she asked Renner, “Why are you mobile? Why are you mobile? What’s happening?”

Lilly shared that she’s “grateful” that Renner seems to be doing better than expected. She said, “He’s made of something really tough, that guy. You’ve always been able to see that in him. He is recovering incredibly, and I’m so grateful.”

While Lilly is relieved that Renner is recovering well, she also feels somewhat uneasy when thinking about the accident itself. She explained, “He had a near-death experience that was highly traumatic — and he was awake for the whole thing.” She added, “It really has stuck with me. It’s been days and I’m still having moments where some of the stuff he told me that he experienced and retelling me the story of what went on and things he could hear and things he could see.” She continued, “That’s what nightmares are made out of, and he lived through it and he’s on the other side now.”

Actor Paul Rudd also visited Renner after his accident. Watch the video below to hear when Rudd had to say about this visit and Renner’s recovery.

Do you think Renner will make a full recovery? Does it surprise you that he is already mobile?
