Grow Your Own Veggies with the Help of Hula Hoops!

Spring is here, which means your garden is no doubt in full spring! But your garden is so exposed – exposed to bugs, bad weather and other hungry animals like deer and rabbits. Don’t let all that hard work go to waste! Make your very own greenhouse instead. Confused? Understandable. Greenhouses are small buildings usually…and probably require a lot of time and effort to make. But this greenhouse isn’t quite that – it’s a miniature version! All you need is a few simple tools and you can have your very own greenhouse to keep your veggies safe throughout spring. Watch the video below to see how it’s done.

Who knew this DIY would be so simple! You can easily complete this project in one afternoon and your plants will thank you for it.

YOU’LL NEED
– Hose piping
– Hack saw
– Clips
– Zip ties
– Hammer
– Hula Hoops
– Shade cloth
– 4 planks of wood
– Corner brackets
– Conduit
– Hand gardening tools
– Your plants

STEP 1: Using the planks, make your gardening box.
STEP 2: Fill with soil and plant your veggies.
STEP 3: Disconnect the hula hoops and place the ends into the soil so they arch over your garden.
STEP 4: Cut the cloth into semi circles to cover each hula hoop and zip tie them on.
STEP 5: Throw the rest of the cloth over the top to create the roof. Use a piece of conduit to hold down the roofing.
STEP 6: Hold the cloth to the hula hoops by cutting small pieces of hose. Cut the hose open and clip it around the hula hoop.

So simple! This fun project saves you time, money, and – most importantly – it saves you garden! Plus, I can never get over these videos…
