How to Whiten White Clothes That Are Yellowing

No matter how well you take care of your clothes, how often you clean them and how carefully you choose your detergents, one thing is abundantly clear: whites turn yellow. It might not happen for a while, but eventually every piece of white clothing you own is going to start looking a little . . . dingy. When that happens, should we cut our losses and replace them, or is there a way to bring those bright whites back to life? According to cleaning master One Good Thing By Jillee, it is DEFINITELY the latter. You just need her miracle solution, which goes beyond bleach for yellow-stain-erasing power.

You’ll Need

– Very hot water
– 1 cup laundry detergent
– 1 cup powdered dish washer detergent
– 1 cup bleach
– ½ cup borax

Mix everything together, and soak for at least a few hours. That’s IT. Your whites will be back to sparkling and you’ll feel like they’re brand new! Awesome, right?
