When it comes to chocolate cookies, people seem to come down on one of two sides of a cookie war: Oreos versus traditional chocolate chip. We used to feel the same way, but then we thought— why not both? So did Yoyomax12, and she did something about it! Check out her recipe for Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Stuffed Oreos, a treat that’s sure to make even the most partisan of cookie lovers happy.
You’ll Need:
– 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
– 1/4 cup granulated sugar
– 1/2 cup brown sugar
– 2 tablespoons milk
– 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
– 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
– 30 Oreos (approximate)
– 1 1/2 cups melted chocolate
– Sprinkles (optional)
How To:
- Cream together the butter, sugars, milk and vanilla.
- Stir in the flour.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Twist open the Oreos. Try to get the cream filling to stay on one half!
- On the bare half of each Oreo, spread about 1 tablespoon of the cookie dough.
- Top with the other half of the Oreo cookie and press the halves together lightly.
- Remove the excess cookie dough with a spatula or knife.
- Chill the stuffed cookies for about an hour.
- Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper or a silicone mat.
- Dip the stuffed, chilled Oreos in the melted chocolate and place on the lined cookie sheet.
- Decorate with sprinkles or candies, if desired.
- Chill until firm. Keep refrigerated in a covered container.
I love how easy this recipe is, and beyond waiting for them to chill, the cookies are pretty quick to make! Do you think you’ll try these stuffed cookies? Do you normally prefer Oreos, chocolate chip cookies, or some other kind entirely?
