It’s almost Christmas time for TV screens, and that means we’ll be seeing holiday-themed movies and shows until after New Year’s. Are you ready?
Even if you’re not, the Hallmark Channel can help get you there. The feel-good network has just released its holiday lineup and if you’re a fan, there’s lots to look forward to. From the end of October to right before New Year’s Eve, they are launching a total of 36 brand new movies!
I happen to like watching Hallmark movies for their special brand of sentimental entertainment. If you’re a regular viewer too, then you probably know that you’ll see familiar faces in most of these roles. But there will be a few famous surprises too.
Here’s an idea of what’s in store this season according to the network’s website:
-
October 27 – Christmas at Pemberley Manor
“A New York event planner is sent to a small town to organize a holiday festival. When she arrives, she finds a high-profile billionaire, who lacks holiday spirit, in the process of selling the charming estate she hoped to use as a venue. Before long, the unlikely pair begins falling for each other.”
-
November 4 – Road to Christmas
“TV producer Maggie Baker unwittingly falls for Danny Wise, the son and former producer of his mother’s popular annual Christmas special ‘Julia Wise Lifestyle.’ Maggie is reminded that above all, it is the love for family and friends that makes the merriest of Christmas.”
-
November 10 – It’s Christmas, Eve
LeAnn Rimes stars in this one.
“As interim school superintendent Eve trims budgets, and now she’s in her hometown where it’s personal. Her handsome neighbor Liam is a music teacher and Eve feels his program must be cut. Eve is back home and she, Liam and his daughter look like they might be celebrating many a future Christmas.”
-
November 11 – Christmas in Love
“Ellie Hartman, an aspiring crafter working in her small town’s bakery shows Nick Carlingson –the big city new CEO during his visit to the bakery’s main floor– that it’s people and not machines that make the business a success.”
This is just a small sampling of what audiences can expect to see when the lineup launches in October. In addition to watching your favorite Hallmark actors, roles have also been dished out to Christina Milian, Kathy Lee Gifford, Dennis Haysbert, Patti LaBelle, and Chad Michael Murray.
True to the brand’s form of storytelling, characters will experience heartbreak, drama, and love. To learn more about what Hallmark has in store for its large holiday offerings, head over to their website here. Can you really beat regular doses of romance, laughter, tears, and happy endings?
Get ready to snuggle up in a blanket, grab the remote, and crash on your couch until the end of the year. And since you’re watching Hallmark, make sure you keep the tissues by your side.
