We love a good wedding—who doesn’t? But want to know what one of our favorite things about weddings are? Besides the obvious—like getting to watch two people in love join their lives forever—it’s that every single one is unique in its own way.
Take for example this ring bearer, who totally steals the show with his hilarious laugh down the aisle. The adorable little stinker even takes his top hat off, spouting out all sorts of toddler-esque noises, before running to meet his brother at the front of the aisle. Too cute!
While the funny moments are great, some weddings also have their tear-jerking moments. Take this bride, who’s father passed away before her wedding. Her four brothers knew the father/daughter dance would be a tender moment, so they surprised her by each taking turns dancing with her. So sweet.
And there are the musical moments we live for. We love this father of the bride who surprised his daughter, a sign language interpreter, when he decided to sign the lyrics to the song “I Loved Her First” to put a spin on their first dance. Her father wanted to do something uniquely special for her to show how proud of her he is, and there’s not a dry eye in the house.
Ready for another musical wedding moment for the books? It has to do with the bride’s walk down the aisle—probably one of the most special moments in the entire wedding day.
The traditional wedding march or Canon in D are both great, traditional songs to walk down the aisle to, but in recent years, brides have been loving changing it up with all kinds of different songs, some of the most popular being “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perri or“Somewhere Over The Rainbow” by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole.
But this groom decided to take it one step further and did something for the bride’s walk down the aisle we’ve never seen before.
As dad loops his arm with his daughter’s, ready to take the walk down the aisle, music starts coming from the other end of the chapel.
The music is coming from the groom! That’s right, the person who’s about to commit his life with someone else’s—who has to exchange rings and kiss in front of all his friends and family in just a few moments—has just added an entire new level of amazingness to his wedding day.
To top it off, the song is basically acts as his vows in musical form—as his wife to be comes down the aisle, he sings to her about how on this day he surrenders his heart her and how he’ll honor her for all the years to come. Of course, the bride is smiling ear to ear on her entire walk down.
This sweet moment is something we’ve never seen before—and we just can’t stop watching it! To see it for yourself, check out the video below.
