If you are a major dog-lover who lives in the great state of Texas, listen up because, boy, do we have a job opportunity for you! It comes from a new restaurant concept called MUTTS Canine Cantina, a combination, eatery, bar, and dog park that is looking to hire its first-ever ‘Puptern’–and, believe us, it pays a heck of a lot better than your college internship!
MUTTS Canine Cantina, which currently has two locations, one in Dallas and the other in nearby Fort Worth, is willing to shell out a cool $100 per hour to the lucky person who gets selected for the one-of-a-kind job.
Sounds great, right? Well, just when you thought it couldn’t get any better–just listen to co-founder, Kyle Noonan’s, description of the job:
We are looking forward to hiring our first ever Puptern. There aren’t many opportunities out there that pay interns to strictly play with dogs all day long. Typically, there may be other responsibilities that come with the job, but not this one.
You read that right, folks. If selected, you could actually be paid a ton simply to pal around with the furry babies of restaurant guests. It, frankly, sounds like a dream come true to us. Maybe it’s time we start looking into a move down south to Texas!
But, if YOU live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, you should definitely apply to this one-of-a-kind position. According to the company, it began accepting applications on October 29th and will continue doing so until November 12th. In order to be considered, all aspiring Pupterns must be: a) 18 or over and b) free of any pet allergies that could limit them doing the job.
So, basically, the only qualifications are that you are old enough to vote and that you don’t sneeze violently when hanging around dogg-os. Easy peasy!
Perhaps unsurprisingly, MUTTS Canine Cantina isn’t following a traditional approach to its application process. Instead, the innovative eatery/dog park is asking candidates to post a photo or video to their personal Instagram account that shows their desire for taking on the Puptern position. The video and/or photo must contain the @MUTTSCantina tag and the hashtag #MUTTSpuptern.
So far, there are 467 people who have used the hashtag–which means there are nearly 500 people in line for the job after only 3 days of it being open!
Although we’re in no way judging the candidates, we think this gal’s collage really stands out! You might just be looking at the new MUTTS Canine Cantina Puptern.
