Clare Crawley Has Been Named as the Next Bachelorette

Fans of The Bachelorette, the next season is only a few months away, and we finally know who the next Bachelorette is going to be.

Clare Crawley told Good Morning America that she just found out that she’s going to be the next Bachelorette.

“I literally just found out. So unexpected, can you believe this? Six years later? What is happening?”

You probably first met Crawley in 2014 on season 18 of The Bachelor. She was one of the last two contestants on the show.

Then in 2018, Crawley was on The Bachelor Winter Games and became engaged to French-Canadian contestant Benoit Beauséjour-Savard. The engaged couple ended up splitting up, but on the show The Bachelor Winter Games: World Tells All, he proposed; however, two months later, the couple split up for good. They said they just couldn’t make it work as much as they care for each other.

“We think the world of each other, and we were both hoping we could make this work…Just know there are no negative feelings here, we are simply two people who believed in love, and were open enough to give it a chance.”

Now, Crawley will be searching for love again. At 38-years-old, she considers her age an advantage.

“I feel like a lot of people put it out there as this negative thing. For me, it’s just more years under my belt. More years learning and knowing what I want and what I won’t settle for.”

So, what exactly is Crawley looking for?

“I want a man that will take off his armor. I want a man that is strong but is willing to take off the body armor, open themselves up and be vulnerable. I think that is some serious strength right there.”

We’ll see if she can find a man like that when the new season of The Bachelorette airs on ABC. The premiere is May 18th. Will you be watching?
