Chrissy Teigen Takes To Instagram To Address Her Mental Health Struggles After Being ‘Cancelled’ Over Bullying Claims

Earlier this year, Chrissy Teigen decided to leave Twitter. Before she did, she posted a goodbye and a brief explanation to her followers. She shared, “this no longer serves me positively, it serves me negatively….My life goal is to make people happy. The pain I feel when I don’t is too much for me.”

In response to her “goodbye” tweets, Courtney Stodden pulled up an old tweet from 2011 where Teigen was clearly bullying her. In the tweet, Teigen wrote, “saying Courtney Stodden’s FB page got shut down for being ‘too sexy’ is like saying the nazi’s were just meanies. As in, not quite.”

Since then, Teigen has apologized; however, she’s still feeling the effects of cancel culture, and she’s struggling with her mental health.

On Instagram, Teigen shared a photo of herself on the couch along with the text, “Iiiii don’t really know what to say here…just feels so weird to pretend nothing happened in this online world but feel like utter shit in real life.”

Last week Teigen shared photos of her family in Italy, but apparently being home is too much for her to deal with. She wrote, “Going outside sucks and doesn’t feel right, being at home alone with my mind makes my depressed head race.”

Teigen shared that she wants to “snap out of this” and that she has “learned a whollllle lot” about “cancel club.” She added, “it’s hard to talk about it in that sense because obviously you sound whiney when you’ve clearly done something wrong. It just sucks. There is no winning.”

Even though Teigen feels that she can’t win and knows that everything she types is “gonna get brutally  picked apart,” she misses honestly communicating with her followers. She wrote, “I desperately wanna communicate with you guys instead of pretending everything is okay. I’m not used to any other way!!”

She ended joking that if there is a “cancel club reunion” she would love to be invited “because I could use some time off my couch.”

Many of Teigen’s followers added comments saying things like “love you” and “you’re not canceled for me.”

What do you think Teigen should do to “snap out of this”? Do you think she can recover from being “cancelled”?
