Corn mazes have given me recurring nightmares since I was a little kid, but the branding of this seasonal attraction may make it a good dream for some. It’s a corn maze with a bar, good people!
Fall is one of those times of year when you can find a good amount of themed activities, and Jack’s Pumpkin Nights in Chicago fits that criteria. Branded as a pop-up experience, Jack’s offers a variety of autumn-themed festivities in Goose Island.
The corn maze is one of its biggest draws, and after 7:00 pm, it becomes an adult playground. Hidden inside the maze is a full-service bar, where the 21 and over crowd will find beers, cocktails, and a nice sampling of spirits (get it?). Visitors are encouraged to bring a flashlight and team for their search!
Touted as the largest corn maze in Chicago, Jack’s sits on two acres and stays busy during October 5 through November 3, from Thursday to Sunday. If you want more than a one-off experience, you can book parties and other private events at their venue. Drinks are available throughout the park.
Guests should note that although tickets are sold at the door, pre-paid reservations are the best way to go, and the pop-up is open rain or shine. Kids are welcome too as Jack’s has games and other amusements to enjoy, and schools can even book field trips.
Stop by during the day with the kiddos or roll through the boozy maze at night with some grownups. If you’re into pumpkins, spiced cocktails, and beer gardens, catch Jack’s Pumpkin Nights before it ends in November, and make sure to bring a valid ID!
