Many celebrities are coming forward to share their opinions and personal stories about abortion. The trigger for celebs admitting very personal decisions they made years ago was the Supreme Court’s controversial decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

The most recent celebrity to share her story is Cher. The singer tweeted that she had a total of three miscarriages when she was younger. The first miscarriage was when she was just 18 years old. It involved pain, a trip to the hospital, and a doctor sending her to the operating room.

While many, including Cher, feel that in states that outlaw abortion a woman who has a miscarriage will be in a horrible situation, not everyone agrees. A few of Cher’s followers commented that if Cher had the same experience today nothing would change.

Yet, even though many would like to believe that nothing has changed when it comes to treating when who have miscarriages, that’s not everyone’s experience.

In a recent post, Cher tweeted again that “Some young women are so afraid they’re getting sterilized.”

Some of Cher’s followers pointed out that sterilization isn’t always an option for women even if they’re scared. One woman shared that her doctor wouldn’t let her get sterilized.

How do you think Cher’s experience would have been different if she had a miscarriage today? Do you know any young women who are contemplating sterilization because Roe v Wade was overturned?
