Many children look forward to sitting on Santa’s lap and telling him what they want for Christmas. Ideally they ask for things that their parents will easily be able to find at a local store without breaking the bank, but sometimes they ask for things that don’t come from a store.
While in a perfect world everyone would gather around the Christmas tree with their family to open presents and enjoy the holiday season, this isn’t the case for everyone. Military families in particular know how hard it can be to celebrate the season when one of their family members is deployed.
One boy named Xander really only wanted one thing for Christmas. Unfortunately, it wasn’t something that his mom could easily buy at a store and put under the tree.
On December 14th, Xander’s aunt, Jadin Hart, posted a video on Twitter that has now gone viral. Hart’s captain on the video reads, “My nephew got to unwrap the only Christmas gift he asked for a few days early and his reaction broke my heart😭.”
In the video, from the noise in the background, it’s clear that Hart and Xander are not the only ones in the room. It sounds like there are quite a few family members around waiting for Xander to discover his early Christmas present.
The box that Xander is supposed to open is so big that it doesn’t even begin to fit under the tree. In fact, the box covers a good deal of the tree in the video.
Xander seems excited to open the present early, but he isn’t in a rush. He may be a little nervous, wondering what could be in such a big box.
He slowly takes the wrapping paper off, and when he peeks inside, he sees the best present ever. His reaction totally brought tears to our eyes. Fair warning that you may want to have the tissues handy for this one.
See what Xander got for Christmas and his amazing reaction in the video below.
