Bill Cosby’s reputation as a comedian and actor was forever tarnished when he was convicted of drugging and sexually assaulting Temple University employee Andrea Constand. Allegedly, their relationship started as a mentorship, but according to Constand, he assaulted her at his home.

During Cosby’s trial, 60 more women came forward to accuse Cosby of sexual misconduct. Like Constand, they accused him of drugging and then assaulting them. In 2018, the comedian was sentenced to 3 to 10 years in prison.

Fast forward, and Cosby has now served 3 years in prison, but he’s not out of jail yet. The 83-year-old requested parole and his request was denied.

According to a letter from the Pennsylvania Parole Board, before he can be released on parole, Cosby needs to “participate in and complete additional institutional programs.” In addition, he needs to “develop a parole release plan” and have “a clear conduct record.” The board also stated that they received a “negative recommendation by the Department of Corrections.”

According to Cosby, he is innocent. He has always insisted that he’s innocent. Andrew Wyatt, a spokesperson for Cosby, explained to CNN, “Mr. Cosby has vehemently proclaimed his innocence and continues to deny all allegations made against him, as being false, without the sheer evidence of any proof. Today, Mr. Cosby continues to remain hopeful that the Pennsylvania State Supreme Court will issue an opinion to vacate his conviction or warrant him a new trial.”

Do you think the board should’ve released Cosby on parole? Do you think Cosby is innocent or guilty? Do you think Cosby will end up serving a full 10 years in prison?
