3 Ingredient Homemade Ant Killer Recipe

Woke up one morning to find ants crawling all over my kitchen counter. They must have been coming from outside somewhere. So I whipped up a batch of my homemade ant killer that gets them every time. Here’s what you need:

Ingredients:

– 2 tablespoons Borax (active ingredient)
– 2 tablespoons Hone, Jam also works
– 1 teaspoon of sugar (white or brown will both work)
– 1 teaspoon of cinnamon (optional)

Steps:

Just mix all the ingredients together in a little dish. The mix will be a little wet so place it in the middle of a sheet of plastic wrap and place it wherever you see ants. I placed mind on my kitchen counter which is a hot bed of ant activity. Just leave overnight. In the morning you should wake up to dead ants. You can just pickup the plastic wrap with the ants fold it up and toss in the garbage.

Editors Note: Borax is toxic which is why it kills ants. If you have pets or little ones you think might get near the ant trap than instead of Borax you might try black pepper or cinnamon which others have reported to eliminate ants. If you know of any other non-toxic ingredients that eliminate ants please share them with us in the comments below:
