It Looks Like There May Be a ‘Bachelor’ For Seniors Coming Our Way

Bachelor fans, listen up! There’s some seriously insane new twist on your classic “Bachelor” coming to a new show that you’re not going to want to miss.

In a recent episode of Peter Weber’s season of the Bachelor, host Chris Harrison surprised fans everywhere when he announced some pretty crazy news. No, it’s not that Peter is choosing ex-Bachelorette Hannah as his wife, and no, he isn’t jumping any walls as Colton did in his season.

It actually has nothing to do with the current season at all! In the episode, ABC aired an ad with a voiceover by Harrison that stated, “Looking for love in your golden years? We’re looking for eligible seniors who want their shot at love.”

Well, that certainly grabbed everyone’s attention. Hold up. Love in your golden years? As in, a Bachelor show for the elderly?

That’s right! A new spinoff of the Bachelor (still produced by Bachelor producers) is currently casing seniors looking for love. They’re looking for “active and outgoing single men and women age 65 and up for a new exciting dating show.”

Anyone who meets those criteria is encouraged to apply at SeniorDatingShow.CastingCrane.com. Just be sure to set aside a good chunk of time if you’re applying (or applying for someone else). There are 69 questions, most of which need to be answered in-depth. Hey, they have to do what they have to do to get a good cast!

While there aren’t many other details about the show at the moment, the teaser is just enough to get Bachelor fans wildly excited. People couldn’t stop tweeting about the new show after the announcement.

Of course, before this new show even gets started, there are still several other Bachelor spin-offs occurring that we have to look forward to. First, there’s “Listen to Your Heart,” a shorter version of the Bachelor (just six episodes) that has a musical spin to it. Basically, people are looking to find love but in a singing competition, similar to American Idol. It premieres on April 13.

There’s also the classic “Bachelor (or Bachelorette) in Paradise,” where former contestants on the show get a second chance at love by meeting other former contestants.

Though both sound pretty entertaining, they both feel like they’ve been done before, whereas we’ve never seen or heard of anything like a senior dating show before. Maybe there will be less drama—or more drama? It will certainly be interesting to see!

So what are you waiting for? Time to sign up your single grandma or grandpa so they can find love!

Are you a Bachelor or Bachelorette fan? Are you excited about the prospect of a senior dating show? Which one do you think will provide more entertainment?
