VIDEO: Baby’s First Words After Trying Peas For The First Time Have Gone Viral

There are so many exciting things for babies to learn and experience. The first year is literally full of firsts. From first smiles and first steps to first teeth and first words, everything is new for a baby.

With cameras on all of our phones, it’s easier than ever for parents to capture these epic moments and to share them with the world. We love seeing these videos because sometimes babies have the cutest reactions to these firsts.

For example, we think of one baby boy whose dad recorded him the first time he experienced a baby swing. The baby was not a fan. He didn’t cry or anything like that, but the expression on his face spoke volumes.

We also think of another baby boy who tried a lemon for the very first time. At first, it seemed that the baby liked the lemon. He went back for more, but then the expression on his face changed into true dislike. Yet, he still wanted to try it again. It’s so cute.

That brings us to the video we want to tell you about today. These parents were lucky enough to capture their baby’s first bite of vegetables at the same time they captured their baby’s first words. The second “first” was a very happy accident.

In the video, baby Olivia is sitting in a high chair, bib on, ready to eat. Mom and Dad are off-camera, but we can see the cup of food in the corner of the screen. Mom asks, “Are you ready for your first vegetable?”

Honestly, the cup of food does not look that appealing. Like all baby food, it’s mush. That’s fine. That’s not the gross part.

The gross part is that it’s green. We’re not saying that everything that’s green is gross, but mushed up green food does not look very appealing.

Little Olivia doesn’t seem to mind the color. She opens her mouth for the spoon. It’s only after tasting the food, peas, that she has the most adorable reaction. She starts to spit it out, but Mom is determined and tries to feed her another bite.

Olivia dislikes the peas so much that she just has to express herself. When spitting the peas out doesn’t work, she says her very first words, and they are so clear and so strong that Mom and Dad just have to listen.

Watch the video below to find out what Olivia says after tasting the peas.

Do you like peas? If you have children, what was their favorite baby food?
