Baby Shark doo doo doo doo doo doo, Baby Shark…it’s the song that just does not leave our heads!
If you don’t know the Baby Shark song yet, then 1) you probably don’t have kids and 2) you’re pretty lucky. The Pinkfong kiddie hit first came on the pop scene abut two years ago and has since racked up over two billion views on YouTube.
Okay, so we have to admit, the song is pretty catchy. It features a baby, a mommy, daddy, even a grandma and grandpa shark, all of who are on a journey to swim after some fish. Everyone who listens to the song eventually finds themselves humming the memorable tune.
It was only a matter of time until it hit the billboard hot 100 list. Soon, a ‘Baby Shark’ TV show made its way to Netflix. Then a Valentine’s Day version of the song made its way known around the holiday.
Before we knew it, there were Baby Shark toys galore being made. Amazon started to sell a plush toy that sang the song with the squeeze of a belly among lots of others—from a Baby Shark sound book to Baby Shark cookie cutters.
Man, it’s Baby Shark world and we’re all just living in it, right?
Apparently so, because there’s even more Baby Shark paraphernalia set to hit stores soon. Get ready folks, because the WowWee Baby Shark Melody Walker will be available for purchase in October 2019.
There’s one huge difference between this toy and the others that are already on the market: This one serves a purpose other than just simple playtime.
The walker is a fun way to help your little one hit a milestone—walking! And “best” of all, it will move to the tune of our favorite melody: You guessed it, Baby Shark!
The cool part about it is that the Baby Shark walker only plays the song while in motion, so once the wheels starts rolling, that familiar tune will play and interactive lights will flicker. The walker remains music-less otherwise.
That means, whenever your child is walking, the song will play, so it’s a super fun way to encourage them to get walking on those legs.
Well, depending how you feel about the song, you may just want to keep them crawling until they’re seven. Kidding!
The walker is made for those ages 12 months and up and will cost $39.99.
Okay so in reality, if your little one is learning to walk, they’re probably not asking Alexa to play Baby Shark yet—so you’d actually be introducing them to the latest trend, and why the heck would you want to do that?
We’re thinking it’s the same reason you buy Legos that you hate to step on or Moana dress-up clothes—if your kid loves it, you love it too. The things you do for your kids, am I right?
Would you buy this walker for your toddler? How did your child learn to walk? Are you sick of the Baby Shark phenomenon yet, or do you enjoy listening to the song?
