Amy Duggar King Says She’s Praying for ‘the Ultimate Sentence’ For Cousin Josh Duggar

We first met Josh Duggar on the TLC show “19 Kids and Counting.” He’s the oldest of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar‘s children. It can’t be easy being the oldest of 19 children and featured on a reality TV show, but that in no way excuses any of the allegations against him.

Josh’s actions have now caused the cancellation of not one but two TV shows. “19 Kids and Counting” was canceled back in 2015 when five girls, including two of his sisters, claimed he had molested them when he was a teenager. In 2021, the spin-off show “Counting On” was also canceled once again due to allegations against Josh. This time, the allegations involve possession of child pornography.

Josh claims to be innocent, and his wife, Anna Duggar, remains by his side, but not everyone on his family seems to think he deserves to be free. His parents are praying “that the truth, no matter what it is, will come to light, and that this will all be resolved in a timely manner.” His cousin, Amy Duggar King, is praying too.

On Tuesday, jury selection began for the case against Josh, and his cousin took to her Instagram stories to express her feelings. She wrote, “Today is a heavy day. This whole week will be. Next week will be too. Until justice is served.” On another slide, she added, “Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord, I will repay thee. Please pray for the victims and for the truth to be revealed. Pray that the judge will give the ultimate sentence.”

If Josh Duggar is found guilty, he could face up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
