Do you ever think that sometimes celebrities are above the law? Like, they can get away with almost anything?
It seems that some celebrities think that way, but others face the facts and willingly do the time that fits the crime.
Last year, Alec Baldwin got into an argument with another man about a parking spot in front of his apartment building in Greenwich Village. The man said that Baldwin punched him. Baldwin claims that punch never happened.
1- Normally, I would not comment on something as egregiously misstated as today’s story. However, the assertion that I punched anyone over a parking spot is false.I wanted to go on the record stating as much.I realize that it has become a sport to tag people w as many negative

However, Baldwin is not saying that he was completely innocent. He did admit to shoving the man. As far as the alleged punch goes, Baldwin points out that, “There are three cameras in front of my bldg. It didn’t happen.”
The time finally came for Baldwin to head to court for this infraction. He was charged with a harassment violation in the second degree, and he pled guilty. The judge sentenced him to a 1-day anger management class which he needs to complete before his next court date. He also needs to pay a $120 fine.
The Prosecutor, Ryan Lipes, says that since Baldwin didn’t have a previous criminal record, they thought the harassment violation in the second degree and the anger management program were appropriate. He says they reviewed the surveillance footage, talked to witnesses, talked to the victim and reviewed medical records before coming to their decision.
This is not the first time that Baldwin has had an angry outburst. Back in 2008, he left a voicemail for his then 11-year-old daughter where he called her “a rude, thoughtless little pig.”
Baldwin seems to think that his behavior is trivial compared to other crimes. Via twitter, he pointed out that the media was all outside his courtroom even though there were three murder trials going on in the same courthouse at the same time.
1- At the Criminal Court bldg on Centre Street, I pled guilty to a charge of harassment, a violation. In that bldg today there are 3 murder trials scheduled, one involving a white supremacist who killed someone in Times Square. All the press was outside the courtroom I was in.

Baldwin is not minimizing the seriousness of punching someone though. He is simply stating that he didn’t punch anyone.
2- the press reported that I punched someone. That is untrue, and that is a serious charge. A man was punched in NY recently and died.(https://t.co/uz6mpohmlH)
