One of the best parts about living in this day and age is the fact that not every family is expected to be that “perfect” nuclear unit. As we all know, love comes in many forms, and sometimes children are not always born to the parents who go on to raise them. Case in point is this devoted family who ended up being blessed many times over after adopting their daughter.

When Air Force engineer Brian and stay-at-home mom Holly first tied the knot, the marriage did not just signify their commitment for one another, it was also the beginning of their unique family journey.

Brian already had a son from a previous relationship, and when he married Holly, the two decided that they wanted to expand the size of the brood. So, they took the road less traveled as foster parents in hopes of eventually adopting.

After entering their second year as a foster family, the couple received a call about a little girl who was classified as a “legal risk placement,” meaning that her biological parents were most likely going to lose custody of her.

So, Brian and Holly went to meet the baby and, though at the time things were still up in the air as to whether they could take her home, they both instantly fell in love with Naomi, the youngster they soon would be calling their daughter.

Fortunately, the generous couple was able to obtain custody of the girl, and she quickly became a part of the family. Naomi’s new brother Zane, who was 8-years-old at the time of the adoption, is simply enamored with her.

In his interview, Zane explains just how smooth Naomi’s transition was for the entire family. “It was like a whole other family member had just entered through the door. Everybody was all on her, and loving her.”

And, luckily for the little man, the feeling is totally mutual. Of her brother, Naomi, now 4-years-old, says, “I love Zane because he hugs me. We, like, play lots of games together.”

That is BEYOND cute. Is someone chopping onions in here, because the tears are starting to flow!

Now, if you didn’t think this family was cool enough, wait until you hear this: about a year later, Brian and Holly ended up receiving a call from Naomi’s biological birth parents asking them if they would like to adopt their baby, Naomi’s sister. Can you guess what their answer was? How’s that for a plot twist?!

The little girl, Phoebe, fits just beautifully into this household. She is an absolute dead ringer for her older sis, and it’s clear that the two have a very tight bond.

Now, if you didn’t think the circumstances surrounding these adoptions could get any cuter, then you’re definitely mistaken! While Brian and Holly were welcoming the two new girls into the family, they were also having biological children of their own.
