Smart 7-Year-Old Accomplishes Something That These Siblings Have Tried to Do For Years!

It’s safe to say that we all sometimes become irritated by our families—it’s only natural! But, at the end of the day, we can agree that having that love is a blessed thing. That’s why we’re going to share a reminder for all of you out there today. A brother and sister were separated for 65 years, but that’s not where the story ends. You won’t believe the way in which these two were reunited!

When Clifford Boyson was just 7-years-old, he and his other four siblings were placed in separate Chicago foster homes. Since then, the Davenport, Missouri man did everything that he could to make contact with his biological family members.

For years, Clifford followed clues that he was hoping would lead him to his brothers and sisters. In one of his many letters—which was eventually returned to him—he made a plea to anyone who may have had information about the whereabouts of his family.

To Whom It May Concern,

My name is Clifford Boyson, and I’m trying to locate any family members. I’m not contacting you for money or anything like that. Please write, talk, allow me to meet them.

Absolutely heartbreaking! We’ve got to say, the frustration in Clifford’s letter is palpable.

Sadly, Clifford went on for decades without finding any family members. Then, one day, the man’s neighbor, 7-year-old Eddie Hanzlin, was poking around on his mother’s Facebook, when he got the idea to do a search of Boyson’s name.

The little boy was familiar with his neighbor’s big predicament and wanted to help. In an interview on The View, he explained that “Clifford didn’t have any family at all, so I wanted to help Clifford find his family; and, sometimes Clifford gets lonely.”

There on the list of search results on the boy’s iPad was Betty, Clifford’s sister. The boy was able to locate the profile by typing in her maiden name.

So, how did the boy know that Betty Billadeau was, in fact, Clifford’s sister? In an interview with news station WQAD 8, the primary schooler explained in a very candid response that Betty “looked like Clifford, a little bit.” We’re not going to lie—we can see the resemblance too!

Unfortunately, though Clifford was finally able to see his sister, we’re sad to report that the man did not reunite with his other siblings before each of them passed away.

Nevertheless, what makes this story even more astonishing is the fact that Betty, before reconnecting with her brother, had long thought that all of her siblings were deceased. Talk about a surprise, huh?
