If you’re looking to show your skin some love (especially after the winter we had, New Englanders), then an exfoliating scrub is a great product to start with. However, while scrubs that include coffee and natural oils are very popular in your favorite bath and body stores, they usually come with a serious price tag. But luckily, the important ingredients in these scrubs are typical things found in your own home. You can make a scrub to conquer all scrubs for just pennies with just 3 rockstar ingredients.
Here’s what you need:
-1/4 cup dry coffee grounds (acts as a mild exfoliant, provides antioxidants, and makes skin firm and smooth)
-1/2 cup coconut oil (works to moisturize and hydrate your skin)
-1/4 cup white sugar (acts as a deep exfoliant, helping to remove dead skin cells)
A jar for storage
Here’s how you make it:
Simply mix all three ingredients together in a bowl. Make sure you don’t heat the oil before mixing it with the sugar and coffee. Once ingredients are combine, transfer to the storage jar. You can store this magical stuff either directly in your shower or in a medicine cabinet. When you want to use your scrub, just apply directly to skin with your hands and wash off. Your skin will feel energized, moisturized and rejuvenated after every use!
