What NOT to Buy in September

We’ve already shared the best buys of September with you. Now here are some of those purchases that you should avoid at all costs as fall rolls around:

Fall Clothing and Footwear

Now that the racks are filling up with fall fashions, you’ll most likely pay top dollar. Wait a few months before you buy fall-specific clothing if you can.

Office Supplies

Once the back-to-school and after back-to-school sales are done, school supplies and office supplies will be sold at most stores for full price. So if you see back-to-school deals early in September, take advantage before the deals run out.

Large Appliances

There are two schools of thought on this subject. While large appliances will be on sale this month, the bargains may not be as great as we might think, according to Wise Bread. If you wait for Black Friday, you may be able to take advantage of even lower prices.

LED and 3D TVs

While you can find a great deal on a plasma TV in the month of September, you should wait on the LED or 3D TVs. You’ll likely find better prices in November with Black Friday sales.

Backpacks

These typically go on sale in August when back-to-school deals are featured. So once September rolls around, selection will be bare and those sales will be harder to find.
