What is the Quickest, Easiest, Cheapest Lunch That You Could Pack To-Go?

Once again, I was overwhelmed with your creativity last week. It seems that there is nothing you can’t do with an old bed sheet and a little imagination. I really enjoyed reading all of your comments and will definitely be using a lot of your suggestions to repurpose those twin bed sheets that have been hanging out in my closet for quite some time.

While it was especially difficult to pick a best answer last week, the winner is BeccaT for her tip about reusing a sheet as a celebratory banner for hanging at big events. Be sure to check out her great instructional post!

Also, just something to keep in mind for future questions: remember to try and limit posts to one idea per post so that I can pick the best idea (if you are looking to be considered as a winner, of course). It’s difficult to choose from so many great ideas, and especially difficult when tons of those ideas come from one post! Thank you in advance, and as always, thank you all for your amazing ideas.

Now, onto this week’s question!

We all know that packing a lunch is a great way to save you from spending money at the cafeteria or out with work colleagues. So whether the lunch is a meal that you’ll enjoy at work or one that the kids will enjoy at school, what is your favorite formula for a cheap/filling/well-designed lunch on the go (apart from last night’s leftovers)? Please be as specific as you can be so that we can all see A) roughly how much the lunch will cost, and B) how to make it. Extra points for healthy options! Head here for contest details. I look forward to reading your comments below and thanks for being a Tip Hero!
