Their Wedding Was Interrupted By One Little Voice

Every wedding creates special memories for the bride and groom, and if you’re lucky, for the guests too. Guests and the happy couple will remember tears, cheers, and smiles, and quite possibly the sights, sounds, and tastes of the day.

There’s a lot of detail that goes into planning a wedding, whether done by a hired professional or the couple. The music, food, flowers, and ceremony receive the utmost attention, and contingencies are planned for too. Everything is lined up to go off without a hitch!

But what if there’s a small hitch? A minor boo-boo? Something that catches everyone off guard. Something that upstages the bride or the couple’s nuptials. Something that would definitely make the wedding one to remember.

There was quite the boo-boo at the wedding of Hannah and Ben Leinert of Australia. And no, it didn’t involve drunkenly honest toasts or outshining the bride’s gown. The whole thing was recorded and shared in Hannah’s video below. The bride and groom were standing face to face, hand in hand, in a sunny outdoor setting, listening to the officiant read.

Suddenly, it was interrupted by their 3-year-old son. Walking casually up to his father Ben, Hudson tugged on his dad and shouted, “I need to poo!” It wasn’t a quiet whisper or an aching look that parents know how to decode. Instead, it was an urgent declaration. When you gotta go, you gotta go! Can you relate?

Everyone immediately burst out laughing, and Ben turned red as the bride covered her mouth. No one could contain their laughter; even the groomsmen lost it. Out of nowhere, like Wonder Woman swooping in for the rescue, came a woman who grabbed Hudson by the hand. She took him and darted off towards the building with a swiftness that left a slight breeze behind her.

According to the Eyre Tribune, the woman was Ben’s sister, and after auntie helped Hudson make a mad dash for the bathroom, she returned just in time for the vows. In the midst of the rescue, the officiant struggled to keep a straight face and chuckled about this incident being a “first”. We’re sure an interruption of this kind will stay with her forever!

As for Hannah and Ben, they made it through the rest of their ceremony without any more boo-boos. In an interview with wedding website The Knot, Hannah said,

“I could only laugh though, otherwise I think I may have cried. I thought I had planned for every possible situation, definitely forgot the pre-ceremony toilet stop!”

And while the officiant noted how the couple could call this hiccup an upstaging, we’d hate to think what would’ve happened if Hudson hadn’t spoken up.

For parents, it’s quite common to be in the middle of a blissful moment with one another and then the kids come a-runnin’, snapping you back to reality. As seen in this wedding clip, it was still a sweet moment that the entire family will remember. What do you think of this hilarious video?
