Watch and Slow Cook Some Dr Pepper Pulled Pork

When the weather gets warm and the days get long, we all get a hankering for some really good barbecue. If you, like me, can’t find it in your area and can’t jet down to Texas whenever you get a craving for pulled pork, then you’re sure to be on the look-out for ways to recreate it in your own kitchen. This slow-cooker recipe from Nate Engels comes pretty close, and uses Dr Pepper for an extra flavor kick. Give it a try!

To Make, Just Grab:

– 1 can of Dr Pepper
– 1 onion
– 1/2 teaspoon of salt
– 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
– 2 to 3 pounds of pork loin
– 1/8 cup of brown sugar
– 1/2 head of garlic

And Throw It All In the Crockpot!

Set on low for seven hours, and you’re ready to enjoy!

What do you think? Are you lucky enough to have a barbecue pit handy, or do you have to make due with your kitchen like me? What kind of barbecue is your favorite?
