Reuse Plastic Shopping Bags
Submitted by: anonymous 11/07/2009 12:59 PM
I use the plastic shopping bags to empty my household wastebaskets into. I tie the open end after emptying my wastebasket and throw it into the large garbage can. That saves me from using the large garbage bags all the time.

I read somewhere that you can use plastic bags in window treatment valances to make them "poof." I thought that was a great decorating idea on the cheap!

Coincidentally, I was listening to the radio and heard about this incredible story of how plastic bags are being used to create bed mats for the homeless in Chicago.

I use them to:
Empty litter
fill with styrofoam "popcorn", tie securely and use for packing material. Way neater than just styrofoam popcorn flying around. Great for large Christmas decorations when storing.
Save them and drop off a huge load to a charity thirft store. They're always using bags.
