Ah, the art of photography. Capturing special occasions and precious memories is as easy as pointing and clicking.

But to really make things special, you have to be able to click at just the right moment. That moment may be sweet, dangerous, embarrassing, awkward, or funny. In the pics below, the timing is so terribly perfect, you’ll probably want to cringe.

We can all relate to sifting through old photos of ourselves and finding one where we sneezed, blinked, or got caught in a compromising position. Good stuff, right? And don’t you just love when your mom reminds you by telling the whole backstory again and again that goes along with the picture? You’re not by yourself.

Some of these situations couldn’t be avoided, and we can’t help but wonder what happened in the aftermath. And won’t anyone think of the children? Fires, face-plants, smacks, spilled drinks, oh my! To be able to catch such bad luck at just the right moment is good luck in itself.
