“Where are the other elephants, for God’s sake?” one nervous voice can be heard shouting during this video. The video shows 14 lions — yes, 14! — attacking a 1-year-old elephant in Zambia. You have to watch this to see how this baby elephant managed to survive.

This is amazing footage. At one point, the baby elephant has two lions on its back and several others grabbing at its legs. The youngster doesn’t give up, continues to fight, and figures out a good strategy for keeping them at bay. Very inspiring seeing this elephant, now named “Hercules” by locals, stay strong and fight for itself. I’m going to keep this in mind whenever I’m feeling under attack or in a tough situation. If young Hercules can survive 14 lions, I think I can find a way to survive much less! [Thanks to the NY Post for sharing this story.]
