How to Remove Stains from Plastic Cutting Boards

No matter how much and how well you clean them, white cutting board just start to get these stubborn stains after time that won’t come off. But you don’t have to just live with these unsightly stains. All you need is the power of “lemony sunshine” according to One Good Thing by Jillee.

Here’s what you do:

Add some lemon juice or lemon essential oil (about 10 drops) to about a 1/2 cup of water. Thoroughly soak a sponge in the mixture, then use the abrasive side of the sponge to wipe the cutting board down.

After scrubbing thoroughly, take your cutting board outside (make sure it’s a sunny day). Lay the cutting board on a table in the sunshine and let it sit there all day. That night, you should be amazed at the results!
