There’s a Restaurant in Jersey City That Makes Cereal Pancakes, and It’s Totally Possible to Make Them Yourself

Some people say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Whether you believe that or not, it’s pretty easy to argue that breakfast is the most delicious meal of the day. No matter what your taste buds are craving, you can pretty much have it for breakfast.

Breakfast is definitely the most versatile meal when it comes to food possibilities. From eggs and bacon to smoothies to pancakes and waffles, there are a lot of food options. We like breakfast so much that we sometimes have it for dinner.

While there isn’t always time to make a hot breakfast on a busy morning, that doesn’t mean we’re likely to skip it. As kids, we remember indulging in sugary cereals like Lucky Charms and Fruity Pebbles. Nowadays, we don’t eat those kids’ cereals as often, but we’re tempted to change our ways.

We recently heard about a restaurant in Jersey City that’s combining cereal with pancakes, and we think it’s brilliant. While we’ve enjoyed many different pancake recipes through the years, this one is brilliant in its simplicity. Like, why hasn’t anyone thought of this incredible mashup before?

Buddy Who’s sells over 100 stacks of cereal pancakes every weekend. People wait in line for hours to dig into this delicious breakfast treat. They’re serving them up with your choice of cereal, and yes, Lucky Charms and Fruity Pebbles are two of the delicious options.

The good news is that you don’t have to live in New Jersey to enjoy cereal pancakes. It’s perfectly easy to recreate them at home. The restaurant makes traditional pancake batter and loads it with cereal. We can totally do that!

Just be sure to be very generous with the cereal. This isn’t like sprinkling chocolate chips in your pancakes. Buddy Who’s really fills the pancakes with as much cereal as possible.

We love this creative way of eating cereal. Move over, milk, and make way for pancakes!

This could be a fun breakfast to make as a family on a lazy weekend morning. You could whip up your favorite pancake batter or even use a pancake mix you like. Kiddos would love pouring in the colorful cereal. You could easily customize the pancakes with different kinds of cereal so everyone in your family can have their favorite.

What’s your favorite kind of cereal? Are you going to try making cereal pancakes?
