Recycling

I started recycling years ago, due to a tiff with the garbage man. Where I live there are recycling sites for junk mail, phone books, newspapers, plastics, glass and tin cans,(I cash in my aluminum cans it more than pays for the gas and the fee to get into the local landfill) The fee is eleven bucks whether you have one sack or the bumper is dragging on the ground. By recycling is not only easy on the wallet and also easy on the landfill. The above items recycled do no good in the ground and especially the plastic as it is made from that black gold, and it takes decades for the plastic to break down. Some years I only make one trip to the landfill with what ever is leftover that isn’t recyclable. Granted I have a pickup, but even if you only have a car and have to make a couple of trips it’s still way cheaper than a garbage pick up bill. Don’t leave the trash bags outside as the sun will deteriorate or dogs or cats will tear them open and make a mess. Eleven bucks? Not bad huh!
