Are the fabric seats in your car looking a little worse for wear? Well all you need are 2 cheap products to give them a complete makeover and bring them back to their clean former glory. Take a look:

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 2 tablespoons of dish soap
  • 2 tablespoons of washing soda
  • 2 cups of hot water
  • A bowl for mixing
  • Cleaning brush
  • Towel

Here’s what you do:

First, vacuum your seats or gently wipe the cleaning brush over seats to remove and bits. Then mix together your cleaning solution (dish soap, washing soda and hot water) in your bowl. According to SavvySugar:

Dish soap is so gentle, lifting grease stains while refreshing the fabric, and washing soda is also a cleaning booster that leaves your seats happy. And both are safe to use on fabrics.

Next, lightly dip your cleaning brush into the mixture and work over your car seats in a circular motion. Don’t try to soak the fabric. Just lightly dampen in order to lift stains. When you’re done, wipe the seats with a clean, dry towel. Lower all of the windows and let your seats air dry. Finish up with another round of vacuuming. And if you wish, spritz with a little linen spray.
