Price Drop: Sony PlayStation 2 Now $100

Sure, it’s been around for close to a decade, but if you’re looking to purchase a new video game console, you can get a great deal on a new Sony PlayStation 2. While the PlayStation 3 is the newest model, it sells new for $400. Sony just announced that the price for the PlayStation 2 is now just $100, down from $130 — a price cut of almost 25%.

A recent search showed the PlayStation 2 on eBay and elsewhere for $120 and up. We’re guessing that prices will fall on auction and secondary market sites as news of the Sony price drop gets out, so you might be able to get a used PS2 for a bit less than $100.
