I love lasagna – I mean, who doesn’t? – but I don’t make it that often because it can be such a labor-intensive dish that takes just a little too long to make. Plus, clean-up is no joke! You’ll Need

– 2 slices thick-cut bacon, diced
– 1/2 pound ground beef
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon pepper
– 2 cloves garlic, sliced
– 1/4 cup onions, diced
– 1 1/2 cups pasta sauce
– 1 1/2 cups crushed tomato
– 1/2 cup water
– 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
– 1 teaspoon dried oregano
– 6 ounces lasagna noodles, broken into squares
– 1/2 cup ricotta
– 1/4 cup mozzarella
– 1/4 cup basil, roughly chopped
