Loaded Halloween Brownies

The colors orange and black are everywhere right now, and if they’re not it’s time to up your festive baking game! Easily remedy the lack of Halloween spirit in your kitchen by making these Oreo loaded brownies. The soft dense brownies give way to the familiar bite and flavor of the sandwich cookies, and the visual effect is grand. Top them off with some candy corn and now we’re really talking. You can use a box mix or try the recipe posted below. I like to serve these stacked a mile high on a plate with that has been decorated with the remaining Oreos and candy corn.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9×9″ glass baking dish.
  2. Mix the oil and sugar together. Add the eggs and vanilla. Add in the remaining brownie ingredients and mix just until incorporated. You don’t want to overmix.
  3. Spread slightly less than half of the batter on the bottom of the baking dish. Lay out enough Oreos to cover the brownie batter. Spread the remaining batter over the cookies. Sprinkle with candy corn and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick stuck into a center portion of brownie comes out clean when removed.
  4. Allow to cool for at least 20 minutes. Cut and serve!
