Trainer Shares 2-Minute Stretch That Could Help With Knee Pain

If you suffer from knee pain, you know how debilitating this can be. The health of your knees is crucial to your quality of life, and sadly, the Center for Disease Control has states that by age 85, 50% of all people will have arthritis in their knees. So if you don’t suffer from knee pain, you most likely know SOMEONE who does. Whether it’s you or a friend, you have to take a look at this stretch. By doing this simple stretch with a simple prop, you can help ease knee pain and help protect your knees forever! Watch the video below to see how easy it is.

To start, you’ll need a face towel or a dish towel.

Fold the towel in half and sit on a chair or couch – somewhere where you can rest your foot on. Stick the towel behind your knee, as far into the joint as it will go, then gently bend your knee up so your foot is planted on that chair/couch surface.

Finally, you’ll very gently wrap your hands around your shin and give a little tug. Using the towel and this tugging motion, you will create space inside your knee joint and help relieve some of your pain! Doing this stretch regularly will help keep your knees loose, healthy, and pain free for the rest of your life.
