How to See the Oscars Movies on the Cheap

The Oscar nominations were announced this week. How many of the nominated movies have you seen?

A trip to the movies has gotten more and more expensive as the years have gone on. The cost of a normal ticket can set you back as much as $12 dollars, and that’s if you’re not seeing a movie in 3D or IMAX. Here’s Young Money’s advice for seeing movies on a budget:

If you’re a AAA or Costco member, you can buy generic tickets at those stores ahead of time for about a $4 or $5 savings per ticket. Just take the generic versions to the theater to redeem them for a specific flick. Another easy way to save? Bring your own snacks. Pop popcorn at home or buy candy for less at a convenience store. Just don’t flaunt it until you’re in the dark theater.

How do you see movies on the cheap? What’s your favorite Oscar movie of the year? Do you bring your own snacks to the movies? Please share your thoughts with us in the comments section below!
