Whether you love him or hate him, it’s hard to deny the fact that Jimmy Fallon is the current reigning host of late night. With his innovative musical sketches and off-the-cuff interviewing style, this guy really knows how to get people laughing. Our favorite segment of his, “Hashtags,” is one that we always look forward to watching!

The basic premise behind this particular portion of the show is that Jimmy Fallon logs into his Twitter account and does a hashtag search. For all of you “Twitter-free” readers out there who may think we’re speaking some bogus language, it basically means that the late night host zeroes in on topics in which people tweet about and decides to read the funniest ones on air.

On this day, Fallon searches for the hashtag: #IOnceOverheard and scrolls through some of the most outrageous tweets as his audience laughs along.

The skit is so uproarious because, simply put, these mini anecdotes are just completely relatable—don’t even pretend like you haven’t eavesdropped on some awkward conversations before! We love that, these days, people can take to social media to share these moments with all of their friends, in real time, nonetheless!

Take this one, for instance:

Yikes! We wonder if the principal even realized that he had divulged such a deep, dark secret to a whole school of his students! But we do have to have some sympathy for the guy; anyone who has worked in education has had at least one of those days!

Now, not all of these #IOnceOverheard tweets are necessarily embarrassing like the aforementioned “disgruntled principal” one. Think about it, sometimes people are just chilling with their friends in a restaurant and start thinking out loud. Like this deep thinker, for example:

That one prompts Jimmy and his announcer to go into some pretty raucous improvisations! Our favorite goes like this: “Which one does he wear his watch on?” “He wears his watch on his right hand.” Oh, so that solves the mystery!

Interestingly enough, we were quite tickled by the idea of a dog being either right-handed or left-handed, so we did a bit of research, and it turns out that it truly is a thing after all! The Bark has compiled a great deal of scientific research on the topic, and it looks like “left-paw” or “right-paw” dogs can be identified by the way in which they wag their tails. Random, but true!

Now, these are just a couple of examples in Jimmy’s compilation of #IOnceOverheard tweets, but the fun certainly doesn’t stop here!
