For the second time this year, participating McDonald’s locations around the country are offering something we can all get excited about: free coffee. Those two words could certainly perk up your mornings for the next week!

Just head to McDonald’s on your way to work any morning, now through September 29th, and score a free small coffee without having to buy anything at all.

The Consumerist shared their thoughts on why they think McDonald’s would feature this generous offer:

[W]hat does McDonald’s get out of it? It gets to steer morning customers back through its doors for breakfast, drawn by the lure of that stimulating mistress, coffee, instead of losing the breakfast crowd to places like Taco Bell and its ongoing efforts to rule the morning roost.

But whatever their reasons, let’s be honest – all that really matters is the free coffee!
