Bride Hilariously Pranks Her Groom During Their First Look!

Wedding day first looks: Whether you love or hate ‘em, it’s hard to deny the fact that they can evoke some very powerful emotions from both the bride and groom. In recent years, wedding photographers have been pushing this new tradition in hopes of capturing the perfect shot of the soon-to-be newlyweds directly before they hit the altar.

Though this new trend tends to garner up some pretty divisive responses – superstition does usually come in to play here! – we have to admit that we tend to gravitate to these photos more often than not. There’s just something so special about getting to look in on a new husband and wife during such a raw, private moment!

Now, don’t get us wrong; not all of these types of photos have to be sappy or overly emotional. There’s one viral video, in particular, that’s floating around social media at the moment which perfectly illustrates that “private” doesn’t have to mean serious.

Newlyweds Beth and Tom Gardner married in November of 2016 in a touching ceremony in North Carolina. Though most of the gorgeous shots from their big day look like they could hold their own in any wedding magazine or blog, there is one video that has surfaced that doesn’t quite fit in with the rest of their conventional theme.

The clip, posted by their photographer at Jon Clark Weddings, starts off in the tradition of all “first look” pictures and videos, with the groom facing the camera, staring off into the distance. After several seconds, Beth turns up in the corner of the frame, but she’s not wearing a white, lacy dress. In fact, at first glance, it’s hard to tell what exactly she is wearing.

The bride stumbles closer to her husband and, when he is asked to turn around to take in the sight of his beautiful wife, he pivots to look at her, but can’t keep a straight face. That’s right, Tom is giggling so hard that we think he might start crying. He certainly wasn’t expecting her to be dressed like that!

“Are you mad that I did this?” the cheesing bride asks. The groom shakes his head as if to say: Of course not! This guy is so lucky to marry a gal with such a great sense of humor. The whole scenario is so refreshing considering that many women turn into straight up “bridezillas” on their wedding days!

We know, we know, we have been keeping the details surrounding what Beth is wearing for FAR too long, but we just couldn’t spoil it for you! To see this bride pull the ultimate stunt on her new husband, be sure to click on the video below. Something tells us they’ll be laughing about this for years to come.
