End-Of-Summer Peach Cobbler

End-of-summer means back to school for some and the end of lazy afternoons at the beach for others. It’s the best time of the year for fruit picking and THE season for fruit cobblers when there are still plenty of fresh peaches, berries, and apples. And there is no better way to kick off the end-of-summer baking season than with a fresh, sweet and savory Peach Cobbler, especially with all the peaches piling up in the kitchen.

Did you know that Cobbler refers to a variety of dishes, particularly in the United Kingdom and the United States, consisting of a fruit or savory filling poured into a large baking dish and covered with a batter, biscuit, or dumpling before being baked?

Ingredients
3 Cans Canned Peaches (16 ounce cans)
1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter, melted
1 Cup All-purpose flour
1 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 1/2 Teaspoons Baking powder
1/2 teaspoon Kosher Salt
1 Cup Milk
1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
Directions
Preheat oven to 375F/190C. Melt butter in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk. Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish (Do Not Stir!). Spread the peaches, and their liquid, evenly around the pan (Do Not Stir!). Sprinkle the peaches with cinnamon, if using.
Bake until the crust turns golden brown, about 30-40 minutes. Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
