Easy Freezer Recipes That Are Perfect for Summer

No one wants to cook dinner in a hot kitchen every day during the summer. Life As Mom suggests that you take advantage of cooler days and do some serious freezer cooking to save you time when you need a breather. Take a look at some recipes that are perfect for freezer cooking in the summer:

  1. Overnight Slow Cooked Chicken: pick a night to take one or two whole chickens and cook them in your slow cooker. When you wake up in the morning, you’ll have a ton of cooked chicken that you can freeze eventually for use in enchiladas, wraps, and more.
  2. Chicken in Marinades: prepare a bunch of marinades (Asian, Spicy Southwest, Dijon, etc.) at the same time, then store chicken in marinades in labeled bags for simple chicken with delicious flavor later.
  3. Burritos: use burrito sized tortillas, cooked pinto beans, prepared taco meat and grated cheese for simple freezer burritos that the whole family will enjoy.
  4. Extra Peppers: want to make quick stir frys in the summer? Cut up all of the extra pepper you have and quick freeze them. Then they’re at the ready whenever you need to throw them into a skillet.
