Creative Uses for Binder Clips

Binder clips, like paper clips, always seem to be hanging around offices and home offices. Even if you need to buy them, you’re likely to purchase a box of them as opposed to one or two. Here are some ideas from Wise Bread for putting extras to use around the house:

  1. Toothpaste Squeezer: get the most out of your toothpaste tube by keeping a binder clip on the end of the tube. When you roll the tube, keep replacing the binder clip to make your toothpaste last longer.
  2. Quick and Easy Doodle Pad: grab some blank pages and hold them together with a binder clip and a sheet of thick cardstock. Tie a pen or pencil to a piece of string and tie it to the binder clip. Now your kid has a portable doodle pad to keep them busy with a pen that won’t mysteriously go missing.
  3. Tablecloth Holder: when using a plastic tablecloth to protect the table against kid messes, use binder clips to keep it in place.
  4. Photo Holder: using a couple of pieces of glass or clear plastic and a few binder clips, you can make a cheap and simple photo frame.
